Summary: delete unmountet devices totally from system, so there
are not in /dev anymore after this
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: NewsAssi Gmx net

Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (dapper) \
                4:3.5.5-0ubuntu1~dapper2)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-26-386

If you unmount some external device like usb stick per KDE, so it can't be \
accessed by /dev/... anymore...

You have to unmount manually with umount to keep the device in system, if \
you want to eg. reformat do other stuff on this device...

Could you change you umount so, that after umounting with KDE the device is \
availbe in /dev? _______________________________________________
