Yes, even the first-time reading of /usr/share/docs takes about 10 secs here on a \
fairly fast system. After that, the information gets cached so the second time it's \
all much faster.

I just checked with Krusader and it's the same problem there. However, opening a \
directory with MC is much faster. _______________________________________________
