Right clicking on an image in a folder (i.e., not down several folders, but directly \
in that folder tree) should have an entry in the Actions menu entitled "Make this \
image this folder icon" which might then make a thumbnail (i.e., resize, square-ify, \
convert to png, etc) that image and the resultant icon (in the same directory) might \
be called ".foldericon.png" or something like that. Then that icon would be shown as \
the icon when a directory listing was shown.

For example, say I have a directory ~/photos/mycar/ and in that directory is a file \
"mycarwallpaper.jpg". If I were to right click on that mycarwallpaper.jpg, it'd be \
really cool to have a "make this the folder icon" menu entry. Then, when viewing the \
folder ~/photos, the mycar folder would be represented by that icon. It's a lot \
cleaner and easier than doing it all by hand (making something an icon-size image, \
right clicking on the folder, browsing for that icon, etc.)

This would make it quick and easy to add icons to your image folders. And it'd be way \
cooler than anything on OSX (afaik)

Incidentally, a nice side effect of this feature would be a menu Action entry for \
images called "Make an icon of this photo" (or thumbnail, or whatever) which would \
make it the correct proportion, size, and filetype for an icon or thumbnail. Taking \
this further, it'd be even cooler (but really way too much to ask for) to be able to \
select a bunch of photos and do "make icons of these pictures" and be able to specify \
(under Settings) what icon sizes, types, etc they should be. \
