Summary: crash when using right-click-extract(maybe others as
well) on a file which name has changed after right-
clicking
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: stefan.bethge web de
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.90)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
OS: Linux
To reproduce this behaviour:
copy a file that takes some time from e.g. a network medium or something other slow \
(i tried smb), but make sure it creates a .part file that is renamed to the original \
file name after the transfer has finished. Now after starting the transfer, click the \
.part file with the right mouse button and wait until the transfer has finished. \
After that hit extract, compress or anything else from the compress submenu - it \
seems like all of the other actions are disabled after the name has changed, however \
'Rename' applied to the next file in the list, maybe that should go into another \
bugreport? However, at this point, konqueror crashes everytime. I guess using any \
other way to have filenames changed will result in the same behaviour. Probably a \
simple check for the files' existence might be necessary. \
