Summary: please clarify the "Hide filter images" option.
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: khtml
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: gilles vonet lu

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.90)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

In the Adblock section these are the first two options:
[ ] Enable filters
[ ] Hide filter images
At first I thought "D'Oh, of course I want to hide those images, what a stupid \
question", but then I thought that maybe it meant that the ads should still be \
downloaded (to support a site) but hidden. But in fact it's something completely \
different (as the tooltip told me). IMHO, it would be better to relabel this option \
as "Show placeholders for filtered images". This would also imply a better default \
behavior: images are completely removed. This would probably be more consistant with \
the way users expect AdBlock to work.

This is especially painful with the horrible default placeholder image. It's way too \
intrusive. An unobtrusive light gray explanatory text would be better IMO ("Image \
blocked by AdBlock").

That being said, AdBlock is one of the most important new features in all of KDE 3.5. \
Thanks a lot! _______________________________________________
