Assuming the http://foo.bar/img.png is valid path to the image and in result of using this URI we see img.png displayed. Unfortunately, when we use double (or triple etc) slashes somewhere in the URI i.e. http://foo.bar//img.png Konqueror feels confused and won't display anything, even i.e Mozilla feels OK with it. Additionally, the Apache ain't confused either (as "//" on un*x equals /), so the Konqueror seems to be faulty somewhere.
