Summary: konqueror can't find openssl libraries
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: nene wo cz
Version: svn 2005-06-02 (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux
Hallo,
I have a linux on x86_64 platform. I have compiled 64bit version of libssl and \
libcrypto libraries and installed them to the /usr/lib64 directory. I don't use \
--enable-libsuffix option because I have kde installed in separate tree. I have added \
--with-extra-libs=/usr/lib64 option to my configure script and it have successfully \
found openssl libraries. The problem is that konqueror doesn't find these libraries. \
I've tried to set the path to OpenSSL shared libraries to /usr/lib64 in cryptography \
configuration dialog but it doesn't work. The OpenSSL test still failed. The problem \
is that kdelibs/kio/kssl/kopenssl.cc file doesn't use the directory where configure \
script found these libraries. it only tries to find them in /usr/lib(+libsuffix if it \
is set) and some others directories and the manual configuration in konqueror's \
cryptography configuration dialogs doesn't work.
