Summary: Please support Link prefetching (Google already supports
it)
Product: konqueror
Version: 3.3
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: r hasos com
Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-52-default
Prefetching is essentially preloading special links (selected by the webmaster) to \
reduce latency periods and waiting.
More information:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/netlib/Link_Prefetching_FAQ.html
Because Google already supports link prefetching, clicking on the first search result \
in Google will be a lot faster because it is prefetched. (More information: \
http://www.google.com/googleblog/2005/03/enhanced-searching-with-firefox.html )
Because of Google alone, I think it's worth implementing.
All Mozilla-based browsers (since Mozilla 1.2) support link prefetching.
