The accesskey system was recently updated for KDE 3.3 & should work fine. You now have to press & release the ctrl key, then press the accesskey. That way, there is no shortcut conflict.

Still, there is a minor problem: Accesskeys don't work if you are inside a file input widget or a textarea. I am leaving the bug open until this can be fixed...
