Summary: parts of a link should be selectable with the mouse.
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: khtml
AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: stubenschrott gmx net
Version: 3.2.90 (using KDE 3.2.90 (3.3 alpha1, CVS >= 20040522), Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, \
propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.3-rc2-mm1
This bug report is 4 years old, and for a long time "FIXED", however I don't think it \
is fixed, and since I am not the reporter, I could not reopen it: \
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12876
Because the problem is, that I still can't select a part of a long link with the \
mouse.
My suggested behavior is that one of the opera browser:
If I click in the middle of "This is a long link", and move the mouse to the left or \
right, only the text gets selected for copy&paste. However, when I move the mouse to \
the top/bottom of the link I want to indicate a drag operation.
I don't think this would confuse users, just try it out, how Opera handles this, it's \
really intuitive.
BTW: Please tell me, if I should in future just leave a comment to a 4 year old \
closed bug, or open a new bug report, since I don't know if it gets attention if I \
can't reopen the bug report. _______________________________________________
