All three issues are still there with KDE 3.2.2
Basically the problem with auto-selection is that once you have selected an item it \
is very hard to predict what further selection will do.
Problem 1) from above is even worse than that as it is predictable and wrong. It does \
not depend on whether the mouse is within the current selection or not.
I switched back to double-clicking, but if single click is an option, it should work \
correctly in the file manager.
(Or change behaviour to resemble KMail where even in single click mode, selections \
require a click - this way single click would be for the desktop only - probably not \
a good idea). _______________________________________________
