I have the same problem as reported in bug no. 62364 [1] : Bookmark names are \
shortened when importing the Firefox "bookmarks.html" file. For example, "Chronicles \
of Chaos - Extreme Music Webzine - Metal Reviews and Interviews" becomes "Chronicles \
of Chao...ews and Interviews". It is not just displayed shortened, the short string \
is used everywhere and you cannot get the long one back.

It is marked as resolved in the BTS, but apparently it still exists.
