in 3.1.95 one can get out of the textarea to the previous element by pressing \
shift+tab but not to the next by pressing tab -> a bit confusing

How about this:
tab / shift+tab: always jumbs out of the box
RMB -> Insert Special Char -> Tabstop: inserts tab
