I looked at the kde-bugs-database and found a lot of bugs like this - but all where \
closed. I'm using KDE 3.2 RC1 and it used my old configuration file from KDE 3.1.5. \
The option for animated gifs is enabled (don't know the original name 'cause I'm \
using a german KDE). Have a look at e.g. \
http://goettingen.studip.de/studip/show_smiley.php. I can see the animation just once \
