Version:           4.0 (using KDE 3.1.94 (3.2 Beta 2), Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.2 20031022 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r2, propolice)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.6.0-test9-mm2

Problem:
Composing characters using dead-keys isn't possible on <input type="text"> fields.

Reproduction:
Opena any page using <input type="text">, for example:

<html><body><form>
<input type="text">
</form></body></html>
===============
Try to compose characters using dead-keys, like "ãéìôü"
Even dead-key "~" won't print.

Expected result:
Composed characters should be represented.

Observations:
<textarea> fields are OK.
