Summary: wrong progress bar calculation in disk to disk or cd to
                    disk copy
           Product: konqueror
           Version: 4.0
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: thibs@gpl.insa-lyon.fr

Version: 4.0 (using KDE 3.1.93 (3.2 beta 1), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-xfs

Hi

I lately noticed that the progress bar calulation was wrong in a few case. There are \
some problems to evaluate this bug because a copy is usually very fast so we don't \
have time to realize what's happening. The best way to see this bug is to do as \
                follows :
- Take a backup CD
- Mount it
- With konqueror, copy a big directory (at least 100 Mo, depends on the speed of your \
                drive) to your personnal directory.
- A progress bar shows up
- Now, pay carefully attention to the dialog and the progress bar and you'll notice \
that the dialog closes whereas the progress bar hasn't reached its end !

For example, I made here the test with a 150 Mo directory and I saw that the copy \
dialog closed when the progress was around 75% ! The older the hardware the easier it \
is to see to notice the problem. This bug doesn't seem to appear when copying a file \
from FTP. It doesn't appear when saving a file from a website. But I think it appears \
when copying a huge file or directory from one partition to another. Again, it's hard \
to tell because it's going pretty fast but I'm 95% sure there's a bug.

Thanks
