This is the reason it doesn't work correctly - the settings dialogue only checks the local 
konquerorrc file, while when khtml is used then it first checks the global khtmlrc file. 
 
I'm not sure the best way to fix this, and I'm only a beginner KDE developer, so I'll leave 
the fixing to someone witha little more experience.
