Looking at the graphs, I see missing lines in the APPLET variant that are there 
in the OBJECT variant (I hope you can confirm that if you get it running). 
Which means this bug is already fixed in HEAD (will be kde-3.2). Unfortunately, 
it's not easily backported because of the khtml internal changes.
