In both the latest KDE release and a recent KDE CVS Head version image 
previews are as big as the icons making it unnecessary for Konqueror to 
refresh the icon view due to overlapping icons. The old behavior can be 
optionally activated again in Control Center "KDE Components > File Manager > 
Previews" "Increase size of previews relative to icons". Thanks for your
