In addition, doing a copy->paste into the remote SMB folder doesn't result in a 
crash, but it does result in a single 0 byte file being created on the remote 
folder and the transfer process freezing. 
 
If it helps, I'm using the Samba 2.2.7a build 72 stock RPM from SuSE.
