Summary: Konqueror history list updates when you click in it
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: leif@dkstat.com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

The Konqueror history list (the thing you can get to by hitting F9) "dances" when you \
use it, if ordered by date. If you click on a history entry it loads in Konqueror, \
and moves to the top of the list.

While accurate, it also makes the history feature very very difficult to use. I \
usually sort by date because I remember visiting a page about a day ago, but I can't \
remember where it is. Since I can't remember where it is, I have to click around the \
list to try and find it.

But the entries in the list move while I'm using it. I can't understate how \
difficult this makes finding something. Even if I decided to start at the oldest \
date and work my way up, this can fail because I might misestimate the date range for \
my "search."

I usually end up looking through the same pages several times because they move so \
much, and then I get so confused that I give up.

Ideally I'd like to see the history list only update when it is opened, OR that \
loading pages through it wouldn't count toward the date accessed.
