- How will/can an user find this? Visual/description on RMB menu?

1. Tip of the day at program startup.
2. Description in properties. (i.e. "Use middle mouse button to close tabs")
3. On tab context menu, show small icon of mouse with MMB highlighted against 
the close tab entry.

- Is it consistent with other uses of MMB?

It is as far as other tabbed browsers I have used is concerned. It's one of 
those things where once you've used it, it's hard going back (like the scroll 
wheel).
