Summary: Konqueror remembers passwords after exiting all opened
windows
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Solaris
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: t.m.williams@cs.bham.ac.uk
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
OS: Solaris
If I go to a password restricted website and enter my password, konqueror will \
remeber that password and not re-prompt me for it even if I close all currently \
running instances of the browser. This behaviour is extremely irritating, since it \
makes it impossible for me to change from one account to another on any give website. \
The only way I can switch accounts is to logout (hencs shutting down kde) and login \
in again on my terminal, a process which takes about a minute. I think, (though am \
not certain) that konqueror is also failing to delete session only cookies as well.
Everything worked fine in 3.0.5, so this bug appears to have been introduced with \
3.1. I would expect all password data and session cookies to be deleted on exiting \
the last instance of the browser.
If this change in behaviour is a new 'feature', I can't find anything that will turn \
it off, so could you please add an option to do so. \
