I compiled KDE 3.1 from source using Konstruct (the 28/01/03 version) on my Red Hat 7.3 box (took over 6h on an XP2000+!!!!) using only the optional -march=athlon option for my CPU. KDE was installed to /opt/kde3.1 as not to conflict with the existing KDE version that ships with Red Hat 7.3.

I set all the variables that were indicated on the Konstrct page and KDE 3.1 booted up with no problem whatsoever. However, when I opened Konqueror (or any other program), my menubar looked like this : http://www.navero.co.uk/misc/erro-konqueror.jpg

I've tried all possible font settings, etc... but it's still like this!
