Doing medline searches:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed

such as seraching for "TCR" or "cytokine" blocks the konq instance, while rendering \
the page, up to 5-10 secs on an AMD 900 Mhz cpu.

This behaviour is absent in mozilla.
