Subject: Bug#47192: Ctrl-select broken (breaking network transparency)
From: luigiwalser () yahoo ! com
Date: 2002-08-29 22:16:19
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: khtml
Version: KDE 3.0.3
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk)
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified
For network transparency, KFM (KDE1) treated links during browsing just like files \
while file managing. This was in fact one of the best things about it, and was \
especially useful browsing apache directory listings, but also just browsing.
You could Ctrl-select multiple "files" (links) or shift select some in a row, then \
click and drag them somewhere, just like files. This is now broken, taking away the \
wonderful network transparency :o(
Also broken, if you right click a file link, you don't get the Open With choices you \
should for that file type, and clicking it directly may not use the association for \
that filetype either.
