Subject: Bug#47008: Localise search engine default pages
From: software () astrojar ! org ! uk

Package: konqueror
Version: KDE 3.0.2
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Not Specified
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified
It would be useful for KDE to be configured with localised default search engine \
addresses. For example, in the UK I would prefer to use www.google.co.uk instead of \
www.google.com, since that gives the option of restricting the search to pages from \
the UK. The local Google page in other countries has a similar facility to restrict \
the search to pages from the relevant country.
Excite also has a localised page dependent on country.
So, could we please have all search engine default pages localised where possible?
