can you give a reason why you don't want to implement this feature? This bug
could also be a non-wishlist bug, because causing 404's on webservers isn't
really desired. Mozilla does it the right way, Internet Explorer, who
introduced the unrequested favicon poll does it the nasty way, and so does
Konqueror.
