Subject: Konqueror not respecting the system colors and the user settings!
From: maarizwan@hotmail.com

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.2 (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.1.93
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-96)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.3-12
OS/Compiler notes:

The 'Normal Text Color' (default:black) overrides 'system specified colors' even when \
a new (especially Dark) color scheme is chosen. I would appreciate an "Override \
System Colors" check box in configure filemanager.

Even the Konqueror Web Browser just ignores the 'System Colors'. Konqueror makes me \
feel that the user's preferences and ease of use is not important to it. Here are the \
troubles:

1. Changing colors: No one could comprehend that one can change/override html colors \
by using CSS. I don't know what CSS is, and I don't care to know; but I expected that \
option in "Appearance" tab of 'Konqueror Browser'. not in the CSS!

2. Fonts: One cannot decrease the font sizes in konquror browser lower than the \
"Minimum Fixed Font Size". Nor it is possible to set individual sizes to different \
'font styles', like

	Standard Font Helvetica 12
	Fixed Font Misc Fixed 09
        Serif Font Lucida Brigt 11
	Sans Serif Font Arial 10

Just have a look at Opera 5, browser's 'File->Preferences->Document' settings. I feel \
sorry that in Konqueror a KDE user can't set/override different sizes of various \
fonts.

I request you to please :

   1. Add options to Override System Colors in KFM
   2. Allow Individual sizes to different fonts
   3. Place Colors option in Konqueror Browser or in "Accessiblity" tab.

These are the standard features in any Web Brower, IE, Netscape, Mozilla, Opera, \
etc., which Konqueror got to have. Thanks!
