Subject: Bug#35597: frameset tags allowed outside <head> section
From: wstokes () gingi ! uchicago ! edu
Date: 2001-11-30 14:49:19
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: khtml
Version: 3.0 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.9
OS/Compiler notes:
framset and frame tags are only allowed within the <head> tags at the beginning of a \
document, NOT in the <body> section. nevertheless, konqueror allows the frames tags \
to appar in the body portion and renders them anyways. this is incorrect behavior! \
one might find this to be a minor problem, but as a webmaster I've found this to be a \
huge problem. some scripts I had generating a website put the frameset and frames \
tags in the body portion, and checking my work before putting it online in konqueror \
everthing looked great, but I quickly got emails from users using IE and Mozilla that \
the entire page is blank! PLEASE FIX THIS! =-)
