Already fixed:
revision 1.151
X-te: 2001/07/06 23:09:22;  author: faure;  state: Exp;  lines: +1 -1
Changed %f into %F - gimp supports multiple files

Edit  $KDEDIR/share/applnk/Graphics/gimp.desktop and replace
Exec=gimp %f
with
Exec=gimp %F

Subject: Multiple selected files are not opened with gimp properly from konqueror
From: maarizwan@hotmail.com

Package:           konqueror
Version: unknown (using KDE 2.2.2 -1)
Severity:          normal
Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.2
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.4.3-12
OS/Compiler notes:

0. cd /usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/

1. Select 2-4 Image files (say "applix.png" "binary.png" "binary2.png")

2. Right-click and select 'Open with Gimp'

3. Every file is opened with a different instance of Gimp,

4. where we expected it to open much like with 'kview' (enqueued)

5. I guess this is not the problem with 'Gimp' since
6. You can open the files with multiple arguments in the Shell/konsole

7. Like "gimp applix.png binary.png binary2.png"

8. perhaps the problem is with argument passing to the application (i.e., gimp).
