I tested
<META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=EUC-JP">
<META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=eucjp">
<META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=euc-jp">
with Konqueror, Mozilla and Netscape 4.76. Japanese was displayed.
I think that it work fine with
QString charsetName;
if (utf8)
charsetName = "UTF-8";
else
charsetName = QTextCodec::codecForLocale()->name();
str += QString( "<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" "content=\"text/html; \
charset=%1\">\n" ).arg( charsetName );
.
