The problem is that it's a similar sounding word. And like killustrater sounds similar to illustrater, kivio sounds similar to visio. Why did it get the name? Because it sounds similar, I suppose. So Microsoft could do legal actions against it. There must be a decision if illustrater can be protected or not. The problem I see is that the name KIllustrater sounds like it was taken to show people the purpose of the program by similatity of the name (sounds similar to Illustrator, so It probably does something similar). The same goes with KWord and Kivio. KOffice might be different though, because "Office Suite" is a common word for a software collection that does what KOffice does and there aren't many office suites that don't have the word "office" it their names. -- I'm an American, I believe in the American Way, I worry if the government encourages open source, and I don't think we've done enough education of policy makers to understand the threat.
