Unicode support?

Besides: I think there is still a room for *one more text editor*
I, personally, like idea of WordPad in Windows.
(WordPad itself really sucks, but idea is good) 

You have in WordPad: 
-basic WYSIWIG
-lite editor
-open/save for MS Word docs, plus plain text in several encodings  
And that's it.

You can write one-page fax in it, can't you? 
My wife's ma is working on Mac, and she is using WriteNow.
And she is pretty happy with it.
IIRC WriteNow on Mac it the same what is WordPad on Windows
