However, Corel have "Word Perfect Office", so I can't see MSFT being able to have a go at KOffice. > I just called the lawyer and he said he wants the money ... Like other people have pointed out, I can't see how this lawyer can enforce such a thing against open source software. As the about box says: "No single group, company or organization controls the KDE source code." So I can't see that the lawyer can take specific action against you. David mentioned contacting Andreas Pour on kde-core -- I think that contacting Eben Moglen as well would be an excellent idea, if nobody has done this yet. I think I would tell the lawyer to get lost -- although quite likely in stronger language. ;) Good luck, Kai! - -- Cheers, Chris Howells -- chris@chrishowells.co.uk, chrish@gmx.co.uk Web (& for PGP Key): http://chrishowells.co.uk "Windows 98 is *NOT* a virus - viruses are small and efficient." -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7QLgbF8Iu1zN5WiwRAuKUAJ43ASlJNtn/oY+YUHWkbBlaf7aHEgCghE0W mxxtXJBKgkJ3O6PDzS3ouSg= =cRAp -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Koffice-devel mailing list Koffice-devel@master.kde.org http://master.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice-devel
