This question has reminded me of this question.. ;)

I think it has been pointed out before that since koffice@kde.org is
listed on the web site as a contact address (enquiries + web site info),
and the koffice@kde.org mailing list it open to all subscribers, we
don't know whether people are on the mailing list or not.

If they aren't on the mailing list, then obviously we need to "reply to
all" otherwise they won't see the reply, and it will only go to
subscribers of koffice@kde.org, who might know the answer anyway.

So would it be possible to create an additional address, perhaps like
koffice-info@kde.org, so that we know whether we need to reply to the
sender or not? This address could either be a forward to koffice@kde.org
(which might be annoying to remember to check or not), or a separate
list (perhaps with selective subscription?) -- where we know
automatically to ensure that we reply to the sender.

Does this sound a good idea to anyone? Any mail admins like to comment
(Waldo?) ?

If so, I can just sed 's/koffice@kde.org/koffice-info@kde.org/g' on the web site :)
