Hi Bart,
The best place to ask such questions is koffice-devl@master.kde.org. Anyway,
the answer to your question is that there is a so-called DTD in:
koffice/kword/dtd/kword.dtd
This is the "Document Type Definition" of the syntax used by kword. Note also
that you can simply create a file in this format and open it using "kword
bart.xml" for test purposes. Actually doing all the gizp'd tar stuff is only
really necessary once your filter is integrated (and then, most of this is
handled by the filter infrastructure code).
