I was luckier than you, Shaheed, and I met him. We talked a little about
the basic problems we have (which libs we can depend on, which language,...)
and we found out that we have quite common thoughts about all that.

We came to the conclusion that it might be the best idea to have a mailing
list office@freedesktop.org (see http://www.freedesktop.org) and he said
he'll ask hp to create it.

Meanwhile all people interested in developing this library should please
create a sourceforge.net account and as soon as the list is set up we
can start to talk about the basics in more detail :)

He was in favor of writing the library in C++ and to provide C interfaces
for the most common tasks.
