Sounds good. For a local file with a .doc or .xls extension, only one mimetype
can be set, of course, and which one it is doesn't matter at all (IMHO), as long
as the filter handles it.
But I guess the whole question about which to use, is about e.g. HTTP servers
that could return one or the other mimetype... I don't see another case where the
actual name of the mimetype really matters (so I'm a bit confused by Preston's
commits).
Hmm, but if you associate a filter with two mimetypes, it might appear a little
strange in the open-file dialog, where there's one entry per mimetype in the
'filter' combobox. To be checked.
