If they maintain it they can then easily make a release too which takes away 
the whole problem Carlos hinted at.

Sidenote; Notice that my point of 'long term ecology' is not about who 
maintains kdchart :)

Why would you move it within KOffice? And how does that help Rex packaging it 
for kmymoney?
And more importantly; why would you *not* move it out of KOffice to help Rex, 
again, for kmymoney?
