Using a KoShapeContainer makes most sense to me as that allows you do to cool 
things by reimplementing your KoShapeContainerModel.
Especially
 KoShapeContainerModel::childChanged() is useful.

Today I'm brainstorming about this and other recent usecases (and not so 
recent usecases like kword headers/footers) and how they affect the interaction 
model.
