Looks like there is at least a ODF-loading bug in KWord.

The image is in a paragraph that has a red strike-through in both OOo and 
KWord. In OOo it is (correctly) not painted since there is no text (but type 
some character left of the image and you'll see it). In KWord this double 
strike-through is painted.
The reason for this is that the image gets the formatting for the strike-
through applied to it somehow and thus its painted.

The anchored image should get no formatting properties set on it at all.
