Hi everybody,

I used the last week mainly to think about, how to best implement the
management of multiple tool instances
being active on the same formula shape. Just a few remarks and
questions the also effects other parts of koffice:

- is there any way a tool knows that the shape it edits got deleted -
see (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199612)
- what is the best way to tell a tool, that the data it edits has changed
-> just make your data a QObject and use signals and slots (is there
somewhere an explanation why shapes are no QObjects?,
I think I heard something along the lines of them being to expensive,
so is it a good idea to make your data class a QObject?)
- should the list of old cursors (e.g. of the text tool, we want to
restore the selection in a shape when we deactivate and then activate
it again)
and the current cursor be stored in the tool or the shape, Thomas
suggested that Pierre wants to move them there for the text tool, what
are
the reasons?
->I think when there would be a way for a tool to know, that it's
shape got deleted, the list of old cursors and the current cursor can
be stored in
 the toold

Greetings, have fun in the sun
Jeremias
