Yep it is much more complicated than I thought.
Well, at least I have managed to nail down a crash:
actions leading to the crash:
- in kword, type some text
- create a new text shape
- type some text (I don't think that is really necessary but weel)
- undo text insert
- undo shape create
- select the main shape and activate the text tool
- type a text
- BANG crash
the crash happens when the ShapeCreateCommand is destroyed because a new
command is pushed on the stack (key typed).
the steps leading to the crash are:
- the textshape dstr is called which call
- the KoShapeContainer dstr which call the
- KoShape dstr which destroy the applicationData (in this case the KWFrame)
- KWFrame dstr is called
- at the begining of the KWFrame destructor, the shape pointer is set to 0
- then because the frame is part of a frameset, frameset->removeFrame is
called
- the frame is removed which emit FrameRemoved(frame) signal
- this signal is caught by KWDocument which call the slot
removeFrameFromView(KWFrame)
- this slot calls then canvas->shapeManager()->remove(frame->shape()), but the
shape pointer of that frame was set to 0
placing the zeroing of the shape pointer at the end of the KWFrame dstr avoids
the crash. It seems that this change is not affecting other part of the
process.
I will now look into why when the textTool is deselected and reselected, the
undo does not work any more.
