The long term vision is definitely needed in our strategy. But I also full= y=20 agree we should probably not use unfinished ideas in release-notes but the= =20 vision has to be established. We should make it abundantly clear why KOffice is interresting for people a= nd=20 companies. If not now, then at some time in the future. > > 3. People love how it works and love how they can just= =20 get things done. This goes a lot deeper than just the interaction method (dockers vs dialogs= )=20 but also goes towards things like frames and how text-lists are done in=20 KOffice. In other words, I think it *has* been proven. Depends=20 heavily how successful the KOffice community is in getting new blood. Any specification will be helpful. The concept of separation is one completely based on marketing. If you take the separate components that make up KOffice you can see it a b= it=20 more clearly. We have a big chunk of overlap and then we have several parts that are=20 specific to these end-products. http://people.fruitsalad.org/zander/KOffice/koffice-marketing.png =2D-=20 Thomas Zander --nextPart1531244.AybnAebjpm Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAki/0AEACgkQCojCW6H2z/TubgCaAquJeo+2YcXUNvYVSB/YpOFE ygcAniew+P56DBtDjWKlCKCU/QM4xCkh =pB/T -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1531244.AybnAebjpm-- --===============0428248736== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ koffice-devel mailing list koffice-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice-devel --===============0428248736==--
