debug/debugfull poor performance is not an issue. No one but developer/tester 
should use that mode. In production, it should be build wirth Release or 
RelWithDebug which are -O2.

No, defintively no, and absolutely not. -O1 does allready some code removal 
that can be harmfull when using with gdb.

Anyone who know how to activate debug/debugfull should know.
