Hi,

I agree with you, that the uppercase logo looks better. The constant character 
height is simply cleaner and this holds true for the logo in general. While I 
was sceptical at first sight, it pleases me more and more now.

My initial impression was like: "Should this be all?! Just a circle with an 
inner K?" But that's it. There's no noise and thus there's no need for 
reduction at smaller scales and one recognizes KOffice easily. The gradient 
gives it the finishing touch and the variation for the single app is 
marvelous.
