I can't reproduce this, no.
Can you add a kDebug with  is->toolTip()  text just before line 238?
If that doesn't give weird results (like invalid data or 'nulls' that 
could crash QToolTip due to a bug there); try replacing the line 238 
with;
            QToolTip::showText(helpEvent->globalPos(), QString("foo"));
If that also crashes; I'd look into recompiling qt-copy...
