Well here goes then:

Use case 1
Adam is creating a spreadsheet containing a lot of tables the he uses to keep
track of different items. He uses color to code the meaning of each cell.
It's almost used like a graphical tool this way. The cell and and their
colors are updated every week to represent to new state of affairs. This
means that he needs to select new colors for the cells quite often. He does
however use the same colors over and over again. He just applies them to
different cells.

Use case 2
Beatrice is creating a presentation where she uses several different colors as
set out in a graphical design someone has made for her. While she write she
changes the color of sentences and words to markup the text.

Use case 3
Colin is using Krita or Karbon to create some artwork for a webpage. He has
downloaded the swatch provided by the project managers. Sometimes however he
takes one of the colors and changes the brightness of it a little for special
effects. Some of thsi colors he wants to store for later reuse while other he
just forgets about after he has used it

Use case 4
David is writing an invitation for his son's birthday. He want to use a many
as possible bright and lively colors. and soon finds that the default swatch
doesn't have enough lively colors so he creates some for himself.
