If we will end up with either of those, I'd be fine with it. My main 
concern would be to have a name that is short and doesn't start with the 
same letter as 3 other dirs ;)   (i.e. be easy to tab-complete on bash, 
as thats my only IDE).

I don't really have a preference; just 'shared' seems to have double 
connotations that I'd like to avoid.
